The art of disguising poop in euphemisms... to save lives.
When one of Asia's leading microbiome library asks you to create a poop donation campaign for them, you don't muck about. Especially when doing so could save lives.
But how do you get sh*tty without people getting icky?
Introducing Poophemisms (poop + euphemisms). A series of phrases used to describe—yet disguise—the act of defecating.
We curated a buttload of Poophemisms (ok, we made some up), and turned them into posters, billboards, social posts, and digital banners.
Then, we plopped them all over the city—especially in the one place where people's minds are already in the toilet: the toilets!
These were some of our top favourites. Most of them are for real. Some of them... unreal.


Train stations, bus stops, housing estates. Our Poophemisms were splashed all over the city. And of course, all over social media and other digital channels.





We did get tongues and tailbones wagging, far exceeding donor recruitment targets and media objectives, and being featured on these publications:
And while we didn't come away with any metals in the 2021 Cannes Lion Festival, the awareness we raised and the samples we collected are deserving of some poopla.
Oh yes, and the Gong Award Show did show us some love. Bronze, baby!
